This series captures my relationships with my mental illnesses. I created the embodiment of what these illnesses look like to me, and how they affect me personally. The illnesses I addressed are depression, mood disorder, ADHD, anxiety, and eating disorder. In the process of creating these images, I dove deep into my conscious and discovered the visual representation of these creatures. The monster-like creatures have a lot of thought put into them, with the design themselves and with the patterns chosen to represent the different parts. Each section that makes up the body is made using a different pattern. No two patterns are exactly the same in each artwork. I wanted to capture the inner turmoil and distress that these causes me.
